We offer the high-performance waxes developed by Japan Natural Products (JNP). JNP produces the three wax series: Natural wax, Synthetic wax, and Hybrid wax. Among them, the Natural wax series has 100% plant-derived waxes such as Candelilla wax and Carnauba wax. Every wax has special performance which other conventional waxes never have.
Special constituents hidden in Candelilla wax
Candelilla, which is a unique shrub living in a desert area of Mexico, secretes special wax in order to survive in the dry environment with extreme temperature difference. Candelilla wax has been produced commercially since 20th century and, even now, is utilized for cosmetics, foods, and so on. The wax contains the three constituents such as hydrocarbon, ester, and resin, and the ratio of these determines the characteristics of wax. JNP fractionates these constituents and makes each a wax product. Every wax product has unique characteristics different from conventional Candelilla wax.
Camdelilla Wax CG-7 / SR-3
INCI Name: Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax
Candelilla Wax CG-7 is refined better than conventional Candelilla wax. Its color and its odor are light, and furthermore, it has excellent solidification efficiency. Candelilla Wax SR-3 is the resin-removed Candelilla wax and has excellent solidification efficiency as well as CG-7.

Candelilla Wax Hydrocarbons
FC-31
INCI Name: Candelilla Wax Hydrocarbons
Candelilla Wax FC-31 is the hydrocarbon wax fractionated from Candelilla wax. The hydrocarbon is a constituent contributing to the solidification performance of Candelilla wax, and FC-31 can solidify even low polarity oil and low viscosity silicone oil effectively.

We added 12% Ozokerite and 6% Candelilla Wax FC-31, conventional Candelilla hydrocarbon wax, or paraffin wax to the silicone base oil (30% 10 cs dimethicone, 30% mineral oil, and 22% polyglyceryl-2 triisostearate) and compared their stick tolerance. The graph indicates that FC-31 has the highest solidification efficiency.

Candelilla Wax FR-100
INCI Name: Candelilla Wax Esters
High Melting Point Candelilla Wax FR-100 is the ester wax fractionated from Candelilla wax. Although it cannot solidify a lipstick by itself, added together with hydrocarbon wax having solidification ability, it can make the crystal structure of hydrocarbon finer. Therefore, the stick tolerance becomes stabilized (especially, the variation depending on species of oil is reduced) and the surface becomes smooth. (Reference: SMART WAX 7743S in Hybrid Wax Series)

(Upper) We made the 10.0% polyethylene stick and the sticks which 25% of the polyethylene was replaced with Candelilla Wax FR-100 or conventional Candelilla wax and compared their stick tolerance. The graph indicates that the stick tolerance of the stick replaced with FR-100 is equal to the 10.0% polyethylene.
(Lower) On the other hand, we compared their hardness of surface (penetration). The graph indicated that the surface of the stick replaced with FR-100 is softer than the 10.0% polyethylene. As a result, a lipstick can procure both enough strength and soft feeling by added FR-100.
Candelilla Resin E-1 / E-2
INCI Name: Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax Extract
Candelilla Resin E-1 / E-2 are the resins fractionated from Candelilla wax. By melting them to oil, the unique gloss and the adhesion appear. E-2 is refined better than E-1, and the color, the odor, and the taste of E-2 are lighter than E-1. Therefore, we recommend using E-1 for eye makeup cosmetics and E-2 for lip makeup cosmetics.

FLORA GREASE
INCI Name: Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax Extract, Others
FLORA GREASE is the handy pre-mixed product of Candelilla Resin E-2 and low polarity oil. You can select the low polarity oil from the three kinds of oil: jojoba oil, olive squalane, and sugar squalane. Furthermore, mixing it with pigment, you can make the stable color paste with high chroma.
